The anointing of the Holy Spirit of God is what every gospel singer needs to allow God to meet the needs of his or her audience through the talent He has given. It sets the music of a Godly singer apart from all others. However, singing under the anointing of the Holy Spirit rarely occurs spontaneously. Singers must diligently seek the Lord’s hand on their voices and humble themselves to be used by Him before every opportunity to sing. Because God loves a pure heart and a desire to honor Him, He will pour out His Spirit and anoint the singing of anyone who genuinely wishes to be of service to him through their talent.

Unfortunately, a few gospel singers have the wrong motive when placed in front of an audience. Their singing is not anointed because they have developed pride in themselves and have forgotten that their gift of music was bestowed upon them by their Maker. While someone singing under the anointing of the Holy Spirit brings joy, peace, conviction, and release to the audience and the singer, the songs of a gospel artist who fails to let the Holy Spirit lead are only “as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal” and the Holy Spirit is not a part of their music.

On the other hand, singing under the anointing of the Holy Spirit can bring special blessings for both singers and audiences alike. The Holy Spirit provides confidence, according to Acts 4:29-31, and softens the hearts of those in need of salvation and deliverance as witnessed by the reaction of the jailer in Acts 16:30. After listening to a night of anointed singing by Paul and Silas, he knew what he needed to do when the jail began to shake and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved.” Singing under the anointing of the Holy Spirit can start a fire in God’s people and bring revival to a church, community, or nation, but singers must ask for this special blessing of God and be willing vessels to be used by Him.

Thank you guys very much for such an inspiring and well touching message. I am a young man who is always touched when serious ministration is in progress. I fell very touched and revived when i hear anointed ministers ministering under the anointing. My dream is to be a worshipper and a minister of the WORD through singing under the anointing. Please can you kindly guide me in accomplishing this task.
